Zapp Hall and Field in Warrenton

Zapp Hall & Field

NEW SHOW DATES: Friday night opening, September 24th! September 25 - October 2, 2010. From fine European antiquities that "talk" to the seasoned collector and preposterously pink lions perfect for livening up the living room, to hot hip-swinging honky-tonk and succulent sirloin or shrimp suppers, Zapp Hall Show is perhaps one of the most divinely diverse events in all of Warrenton. The market's motto is: "Come for the antiques, stay for the atmosphere," and quite an atmosphere it is. While the offering of antiques range from fine French to crazy cowgirl, the show also offers much more. Live country music nightly in the Beer Garden, where there's room for dancing and dining under the stars. Among bands who have played here are Black Cat Choir of Round Top, Michael Mach Band from La Grange, Brett Mouton of Houston and international country music sensation Todd Fritsch. Thursday, September 30th is the show's semi-annual Bellinis & Bargains Twilight Shopping, when all dealers stay open until at least 8 pm. It is also the evening of the Junk Gypsy Co. zany Junk-O-Rama Prom, where shoppers dress up in gaudy vintage duds and dance the evening away on the Zapp Hall grounds. The event has grown into a "gotta be there" happening during Antiques Week. Then there's Royers Round Top Cafe at Zapp Hall, which is now serving lunch and dinner Saturday to Saturday on the Hall's grounds during the show. Their fabulous menu of "contemporary comfort food" includes treats like the shrimp BLT, quail with fresh veggies, sirloin salad, pasta dishes, ribs, chicken, roast tenderloin and more. A wide selection of cold beer, wine, soft drinks and frozen cappuccinos are also available, not to mention the incredible homemade pies. Mama Tamale's pink shack will also be open during the event's duration, serving up fresh hot tamales on the spot for hungry treasure hunters. The Bubble Lounge offers old-fashioned fun, chilled champagne and live music, plus don't miss the special Gospel Lunch with the Salvation Army Harbor Light Choir on Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m.. There is no admission or cover to the Zapp Hall Show or any of their events. See for yourself why folks flock in for the fantastic selection of antiques, and end up staying for the friendly atmosphere.
